Padang, J-News - On 13 November 2018, Agriculture’s Islamic organization, Forstudi FP Unand (Forum Studi Dinamika Islam Fakultas Pertanian, Andalas University) held a Syiar Islam, BISI (Bincang Asik Seputar Islam) at Al Kahfi Musholla, Agriculture Faculty.
The
da’wah is delivered by Sidiq, S. Si themed Emulating
the Akhlak of Rasulullah Shallallahu Alaihi Wasallam as a Provision of Life.
Sidiq
opened up his speech by a narration of Prophet Muhammad Shallallahu alaihi
wasallam, that said, “Be a scholar, a teacher, a listener or one who loves
them. Do not be in a fitfth category and thereby be ruined.” (Al-Baihaqi)
Sidiq,
then, told about the the habit of Prophet Shallalahu alaihi wasallam’s comrade
in study.
“Muhammad
Shallallahu alaihi wasallam also told that the previous comrades or also known
as salafiyah, when they go out of the masjid, they will not walk side by side
but they will repeat their Qur’an memorization.” Sidiq said.
At
this point, Sidiq advised when you have tried to memorize the Qur’an, you should
repeat it again and again and use your leisure time to recite it.
Besides
the akhlak of Rasulullah Shallallahu
alaihi wasallam and his comrades, Sidiq also gave a motivation to have a
passion in seeking knowledge by telling a story about Syaikh Abdullah
Az-Zubaidi who is willing to sleep in the cattle pen of his teacher, Syaikh Abu
Ali Al-Qooli, so he can meet his teacher early to study and ask lots of
questions before other students coming.
Sidiq
told one hadith about the passion of Imam Syafi’i in seeking knowledge as in Tawaalit Ta’sis Manaqibi Muhammad bin Idris,
Ibnu Hajar Al Asqani, 106.
“Abu
Hatim reported, I heard Al Muzani said, Imam Syafi’I was asked, ‘How is your
passion in seeking knowledge?’ He said, ‘I heard a sentence that I never heard
before so the other part of my body has a desire to relish the knowledge as if
it felt by the ears.’ He got asked again, ‘How is your greediness towards
knowledge?’ He said, ‘Like the greediness of treasure hoarder.’ Then, he got questioned
for the third time, ‘How do you find it?’ He answered, ‘like a mother looking
for her missing son which is he only one of her.’ Sidiq narrated.
Sidiq
said that in seeking knowledge you should have a close related person for your
motivation. Then, he referred to a book written by Kim Dou Eung titled It’s Okay, You’re Just Different. In the
book told that great person well-born from a good mother.
Sidiq
persuaded the audience to be closer to parents. All the more, the Final Exam
was so close.
“So,
guys, you will have Final Exam later. Do not forget to ask your parents’ dua.
Ask dua of your mother for she is the closer parent to you.” Sidiq said.
Sidiq
reported about his valuable lesson when he was in Imam Masjid Training.
“It
is not worthless for a person who has Qur’an in his hearth.” He told.
Then,
Sidiq engaged the audience to pray to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala so that Allah
makes the Final Exam easier and do the best and maximum effort for a good result.
Sidiq
also gave a tip to the audience to strengthen the memorization so that the
knowledge is not easy losing.
“You
should lower your gaze when you see a woman because women can be a cause for you
of forgetting the knowledge.” Sidiq said.
In
the last session, he opened up a question and answer session. One of the
audiences, Fadil, asked a question about how to be not bothered to read and
study the Qur’an. Sidiq answered with three tips. First, you have to understand every verses of the chapter in the
Qur’an by reading its meaning. Second,
follow tahfidz agendas. The last,
follow the Islamic studies or liqo.
One
of the audiences, Fadil said the da’wah program held by Forstudi FP is very
beneficial for students and he suggested that this program must be held for
public especially for all Andalas University students. He admitted that he got
many beneficial lessons in this program.
“Rasulullah
Shallallahu alaihi wasallam prioritized akhlak
in his da’wah. He is very patient. We also have to preserve our sight
towards woman and fighting in da’wah even just with a verse of Qur’an.” Fadil
told J-News.
